History of the Olde Sawmill

Olde Sawmill Grill and Miniature Golf is owned and operated by the Turcott Family. The restaurant opened in September 1995, and the Miniature Golf opened in July 1996. The property was purchased in 1994 as a run down greenhouse set on 8 acres. The family thought the site was ideal for a miniature golf course and restaurant. The vision was of tree, shrubs, and flowers lining the course of Little River. Both the restaurant and golf course were designed and built by the owner. A replica sawmill, which is hole 16 is a reminder of the sawmill history of Oxford. The miniature golf course is beautifully landscaped and holds a "being in the country" feel.

The Turcott family has devoted many hours into making Olde Sawmill an enjoyable time for all of its visitors. They take pride in keeping it clean, safe, and a fun place for all. There have been many improvements and changes over the years such as the addition of a 1939 Boston Maine Caboose, and healthier choices on the food menu. Even with the economy ever so changing, we have managed to stay the least expensive miniature golf course in the area.

For the past 13 years we have worked hard to make an enjoyable place for all who visit. When we began this journey, we never realized how many new friends and interesting people we would meet. Many of our customers are now life-long friends, and we have shared laughter and sorrow with them over the years. We have seen small children grow, now graduating high school and college. We have celebrated many birthdays, mothers and fathers days, and reunions with you and your families. Many times we have contemplated moving onto a new phase in our lives, but this dream is ongoing and we do it with the utmost joy. As we continue with this adventure, we look forward to continuing to make new friends and bringing smiles to adults and children for years come.
